Age Restriction

Road Worthiness Inspection
Used Japanese vehicles must be over 15 years old to be able to import a vehicle from Japan to Australia. For all Aussies living here in Japan, there is a way to send your car back home to Australia. If you own a car in Japan for more than a year, you can import it to Australia. Note that the vehicle must be registered in your name in Japan. Importing a used car to Australia can be relatively tricky as the import regulations are strict.
